Hello Dashner fans!

I got a chance to read an ARC of James Dashner‘s new book, The Eye of Minds, and posed several questions for him to answer about it.  No worries, there are no spoilers for this part of the interview.

1) Describe The Eye of Minds in 3 words

James Dashner:  Twisty. Fast. Fear.

2) There were some pretty interesting riddles in the story.  Was it difficult to come up with the riddles?

JD:  I’ve always been fascinated with riddles. In fact, every series I’ve ever written has had some type of riddle embedded within it. The funny thing is, I grew up so impressed with authors who did that and it was something about which I had very little confidence in myself. But I keep trying, and it seems to keep working.

3) You said this book was inspired by certain movies.  Were there any…

Peligrou: he vuelto a Skyrim   Leave a comment

Qué bien me cae esa mujer, leches. Pobrecica.

Total, que desde que he vuelto a jugar con Sirenia, estoy más viciada que nunca

Ben Stockdale's AS Blog

By accident on youtube I recently came across two short films starring two actors who I have grown to like, Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch. Who have recently been involved in Peter Jackon’s new Hobbit trilogy where Martin plays the hobbit protagonist and Benedict is voicing a dragon and starring as the necromancer in the third film. In fact just the other day a new trailer has been released for the next film.

I didn’t enjoy the first hobbit film that much because I thought it was too slow but what I did enjoy was Benedict Cumberbatch’s recent role as Khan in Star Trek Into Darkness which I really enjoyed. The list of great shows and films that they have respectively starred in spans from The Office to Atonement but what I personally know them for is BBC’s Sherlock and considering the huge cliffhanger that the last series left on…

CBS New York

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — The remnants of Tropical Storm Karen are expected to affect the Tri-State Area next week, but only in the form of a rainy day.

CBS 2 Meteorologist Vanessa Murdock reported Saturday morning that the tropical storm – which will no longer be classified as a tropical storm once it arrives in the area – will bring added moisture beginning Monday into Tuesday.

The precipitation is expected to amount to 0.5 inches to 1 inch of rain, in conjunction with a cold front.

The wet weather was expected to continue through the day on Tuesday.

On Saturday, the storm weakened and stalled as it approached the Gulf Coast, but forecasters were still expecting it to bring significant rain and potential flooding to low-lying areas.
