‘HOSTAGES’: TV’s HOTTEST NEW MUST-WATCH SHOW   Leave a comment

Hostages

Year after year, we see new TV shows (especially in the über over saturated fall TV line up) that all vie for our attention as the new show to watch. Networks after networks all compete in hopes that their TV shows will resonate with an audience, by promo alone mind you. Very few can actually claim to have accomplished such a feat. With many viewers even changing the channel when promos for new shows air. However, there was one TV show that as soon as we watched the first 30 seconds of the trailer, we knew we were hooked. After watching the pilot episode, we knew we had made the right decision in naming it this new TV show to watch.

‘Hostages’ is a one hell of a thrill ride from, from the very beginning. First, we are introduced to FBI agent Duncan Carlisle (Dylan McDermott) who stops at nothing…

Chapter 1: Lilith de Nemo   Leave a comment

Lilith de Striga

gw038

Now, gentle reader, allow me to introduce the protagonist of our story. Lilith de Nemo was once of a respected line, but now she is de Nemo, “of nobody.” Her family, the de Magi line, were powerful sorcerers with command over the elements. They were businessmen, and had thrived under the reign of King Adelbern. Adelbern is not of the line of Thorn. Rather, he married into the royal family, and his bride died under mysterious circumstances soon after the birth of their son Rurik, which cemented Adelbern’s claim to the throne.

Adelbern believed in good business. He opened up negotiations with Orr and even hated Kryta, withdrawing Ascalon from the Guild Wars. For twenty years he focused on rebuilding Ascalon’s wealth and pillaging the Charr to the north for the wealth they had accumulated during the Guild Wars, which was, for them, a time of peace and prosperity much…

Guild Wars 2 Living World: Aetherblades and the steampunk revolution   Leave a comment

Life As A Digital Salad

Its been a while since I last blogged about the Living Story in Guild Wars, so I wanted to get back in to it. I left off at the end of the Southsun section of the Living Story, now neatly(ish) wrapped up. Where did it go next? Well, Tyria experienced something of a steampunk pirate revolution.

Sky Pirates of Tyria:

I mentioned the Dragon Bash in my last Living Story blog, which was predominantly focused around Dragon Bash themed achievements and activities. What the Dragon Bash ushered in for the longer term was what was to become the overarching Living Story enemy – the Aetherblades.

The story of the Dragon Bash, which I mentioned briefly before, was essentially the festival getting attacked by the Aetherblades and you have to fix it. That hit a real bad note for me, with a lame plot device (which has already been re-used during…

Hello Dashner fans!

I got a chance to read an ARC of James Dashner‘s new book, The Eye of Minds, and posed several questions for him to answer about it.  No worries, there are no spoilers for this part of the interview.

1) Describe The Eye of Minds in 3 words

James Dashner:  Twisty. Fast. Fear.

2) There were some pretty interesting riddles in the story.  Was it difficult to come up with the riddles?

JD:  I’ve always been fascinated with riddles. In fact, every series I’ve ever written has had some type of riddle embedded within it. The funny thing is, I grew up so impressed with authors who did that and it was something about which I had very little confidence in myself. But I keep trying, and it seems to keep working.

3) You said this book was inspired by certain movies.  Were there any…

Peligrou: he vuelto a Skyrim   Leave a comment

Qué bien me cae esa mujer, leches. Pobrecica.

Total, que desde que he vuelto a jugar con Sirenia, estoy más viciada que nunca
